Hello from the Quiet Side!
Why hello! It’s been a while, so I thought I would take this chance to provide an update on Brindle Market. ⠀
⠀
You may have noticed it’s been radio silence over here... no news, new products, nor events, and that’s from *before* we started sheltering-in-place. ⠀
⠀
Well, this is a one-woman shop. And when that one woman (um, me) becomes sick (not related to COVID-19), the shop activities comes to a screeching halt. ⠀
⠀
I had managed to rally through the holiday season, but really needed to crash as soon as it was complete. Shop operations and life— in general— pretty much stopped. ⠀
⠀
I was sadly ahead of the curve when it came to social distancing and isolation. Being sick didn’t just mean I stop social media. I had to stop a lot of things in my life. ⠀
⠀
Since November, I have spent almost all of my time at home. I am very dependent upon delivery services like Instacart, Splendid Spoon, and Methodology.⠀
⠀
So now that many people are sheltered at home due to COVID-19, many stir-crazy, lemme tell ya... I get it!! Welcome to my party.⠀
⠀
Some of my friends have said, “Cathy, how have you been doing this?! I’m going nuts!!” Well, it’s probably different when you’re sick and running on minimal energy. I’ll admit I do sleep and rest more than the average person! But one thing that is relatable to my friends, and one thing that has made the biggest difference in my life...⠀
⠀
Not a surprise at all: my animals. I have constant, loving companionship from my dog and two cats. Three different personalities giving me a constant source of happiness. I couldn’t have survived this without them.
If you don’t have a little animal to keep you company, I am sure there is one waiting for you at a local rescue or shelter. ⠀
⠀
That’s all for this update. I’m safe at home, and I hope you are, too. If you are one of the medical professionals and/or essential workers out there helping everyone, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I am eternally grateful, beyond words. ⠀
⠀
Thanks for reading. I hope you are all well and safe. ❤️, Cathy
